"Religion is flawed because man is flawed..." Dan Brown - Angels & Demons
Brother Jero aka 'Brother Jeroboam' is the name of the main and my favourite character from Wole Soyinka's brilliant play 'The Trials Of Brother Jero'. Lost count of how many times I've read the play over the years, but seeing this gentleman preaching in Hyde Park brought back fond memories of Wole Soyinka's colouful main character. Although I don't believe in this preacher man's views, which are based on a doctrine of a church in Calabar, Eastern Nigeria, I do however respect his right and admire his unwavering faith in his belief. I will be posting a series of images of this really fascinating gentleman over the next few days.
Welcome to Speakers Corner, Hyde Park right in the heart of Central London. Come one, come all for enlightenment, and be prepared to have your religious, political views, tolerance and sanity pushed to the limit.
