Who's That Girl?

Meet up and coming model, Miss Sierra Leone 2006 winner and soon to be appearing on a TV screen near you sometime in April, Musayeroh Barrie. Did an outdoor photo shoot with Musayeroh for a T Shirt range line on a very cold and freezing Easter Monday afternoon a couple of weeks ago. Wishing her all the very best in her modelling career.

Lovely shot, beautiful eyes smile More shots please!!
Fotografa: Thanks Wale and do stay tuned smile
Awww, bro, sorry have to say it as we see it, bad shot.

The angle you took this from and the expression on her face makes her look scared and uncomfortable in front of the camera. The eyes look tired. The eyes for most portraits need to tell a story, this tells a story of tiredness.

Not 100% sure about the editing you have done to her face, but left side (our left) of her face looks rougher than the right side.

We know you have better images from the shoot, so why did you post this one?
Fotografa: As this was a commissioned shoot, I am limited in the range of images I can post. So I’ve picked on a neutral dead pan image which I honestly think works in this instance. She was cold and freezing (with goose pimples, which is a bit evident in the editing), but definitely not uncomfortable or tired.

We shoot, edit, live and learn smile, so would hope to improve on future shots I post in terms of bringing out the best in her, as she is really versatile.

"Lovely shot!" I thought, then I read Suby & Sinem's comment and now I can't stop seeing her face as multi-textured. smileFair comment though... I quite like the way the tag behind her blends into her T-shirt.
Fotografa: Cheers Noa. She is really a lovely and versatile model, so there is much room for improvement in producing images that do her justice.

PS: Suby is a trouble maker smile

Fotografa, first of all thanks for the mail, will respond soon.
I beleive I have seen enough of your images to confidently & fairly comment on this one.... First of all I love the editing, very bold, sharp with good contrast. 99.9%, will keep the 0.1% for next time.
U must have used your 50mm 1.8?????
All this said, Im not too sure about the cropping, It looks like a half portrait, half bust. But thats just my opinion.......
Lastly out of interest what application did you edit this in.....
Fotografa: Yes, Canon 50mm 1.8 lens.
As I always shoot in Raw. Convert from Raw to tiff using Canon DPP, and PS2 for PP editing.
